Description: Comfort Rating: Performance Rating: Quality Rating: Appearance Rating: Favorite Feature: Pure Performance Least Favorite Feature: Not enough other cars that keep up with the Camaro's Performance Advice to Buyer: Enjoy its excitement - Race Autocross or a legal dragstrip Detailed Review: One word for the Camaro Z28 - Performance. For the value of this car it outperforms most out there. The LT1 350 engine strong with gobs of torque. I found that the engine is also derated (my Z28 was dynoed with 345 hp and 395 ft-lbs of torque - rated 275hp/325tq)this was with only a cat-back exhaust and cold air intake. Anyone who claims Mustangs close performance, I have one thing to say. My Z28 runs consistent low 13's (13.2xx) @ 104 mph. and the average stock mustang 15.0xx to 14.9xx. The cars handling is also top-notch making the car a very fun autocross car. It is (in my opinion) still a very comfortable car with great gas milage (25-27 Highway). Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this is the best car out there handsdown. Obviously a Viper will out accelerate it and the Porches and BMW M3s may out corner it, but at what price? When it comes down to Performance/price nothing comes close.
